LED or light emitting diodes have been the most favorable energy saving devices used by the people. The efficiency of the diodes is very high because of which the amount of input it takes is less as compared to the output produced. There are different models of LED and the most favorable model considered for spotlight is GU10 LED which is also regarded as 12V LED spot. It is considered to be the perfect alternative to the use of halogens bulbs because of different characteristics.
Some Distinct Qualities of LED GU10 Spot
• Mercury free: It uses the semiconductor so no mercury is being used as that is used in the filaments and is made from collision resistant plastic. Because of these two characteristics, heat produced is less and the toughness of the LED is very high.

• Directional lights: Since, LED Spot GU10 is used for producing light in a particular direction; hence it suits for being called as a spotlight.
• Color: Halogens has only one single color so when it is used as a spotlight, it can only produce high intensity white light. But the GU10 LED can be used to produce multiple spotlight colors.

• No heat: Even though it focuses all the radiation in a single direction, the heat produced by the GU10 LED is minimum.

Beam angle: For a spot light the beam angle should be least i.e. around 20-30 degrees and different models have different beam angle and you have to know about the beam angle of the LED Spot 12V before its purchase.
